Cause Day Testimonials
He said he felt less alone!
My son tells me that you brought cause day into his school. I wanted to write to say thank you, because there was an unintended positive to this project. My son was diagnosed with OCD a few years ago. He’s struggled with it and is making some progress. Yesterday he said he did some more research. He found that there were a ton of famous people who struggled with it just like him-David Beckham, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Einstein. He said “mom, I thought they were all normal”. We explained that they were, and he is. Everyone has their struggles- some you can’t see. He said he felt less alone. We’ve talked with him about this before- he didn’t want to talk about it and he didn’t want to look more into it on his own, until Cause Day same up. This is a huge step for him and I wanted to thank you.
As an educator, I am always trying to reach my "quiet and reserved" students.
The ones who don't usually volunteer to share their thoughts or answers with the class. I also strive to give our more challenging students an opportunity to show the empathy skills that they all possess. I was blown away by the "new voices" that I heard and the sincere empathy skills that I saw during our celebration of Cause Day. I had the same students, in the same room...but because they were given the platform to share their "story"...the conversation was VERY different. And, it was beautiful. Looking forward to Cause Day 2019!
Cause Day transformed our community!
Whether or not they chose to raise money, each student (and adult!) chose a Cause to which they felt connected. During our Advisory block, students shared their Causes with each other, which was a perfect activity to build empathy! Students raised nearly $20,000 for 120 different charities. The experience touched the hearts of all. The opportunity to participate in Cause Day this year transformed our community.
The Social and Emotional impact from Cause Day was evident to both students and staff.
We had over 550 students participate in the event. The Cause Day curriculum seamlessly fit into our advisory program. The students were able to make connections with staff and friends that has never been possible. The students' and staffs' passion for Cause Day was undeniable and was truly a sight to see. We hope that others get involved in this passionate event.
The thing that appealed to us was that there was a large educational piece.
Cause Day was an absolutely wonderful experience for students and staff. Cause Day was a huge success. In addition to being a great school spirit event, it heightened a culture of empathy and compassion. And – beyond our wildest imagination – our students raised almost $11,000 for 19 different causes. I highly recommend this program – both as a worthy fundraiser and an effective, engaging opportunity for students to make a true difference in the lives of others.
Cause Day promoted Social Emotional Learning within the schools and also at the community level!
Cause Day was a HUGE success! The kids have already asked if we will do it again next year!"
The students and teachers really got involved!
Cause Week was a huge success in my schools. I have left the posters up so my students still walk over to them and talk to each other about the different causes. Thanks for this opportunity! We will be back next year!
“I heard from the parents that they LOVE Cause Day™
It was much more close to their heart and has more impact for their children!”
Cause Day is a free program so we will do this as a town wide event!
All schools, employees and town offices will participate in Cause Day in our town. This is a great way to bring the community together in a fun event that does not need volunteers and does not cost any money and the fundraising is voluntary for each participant. It's a true win-win.
Everyone loves it!!!
We just finally met with Admin about incorporating Cause Day in our High School. Everyone loves it!!!
