    Complete the PE Activity
DIABETES: TYPE 1 Cause Color: Blue Activity: Find two other people if you can and play Monkey in the Middle. Use a ball or pair of socks to represent sugar cubes. If there are three people, one person is in the middle. That person in the middle tries to catch the ball while the other two run freely to try to pass the object to each other. If the person in the middle catches the ball, the two players get a "handicap" which means they get an obstacle added. For example, they have to hold one arm behind their back or hop on one leg or put a bandana over one eye etc. If you don't have enough people to play the game, then you are the money and will throw the ball against a wall. If you catch it you are good but if you drop it, you give your self an obstacle. Awareness: The more times the person in the middle catches the object that is getting thrown from side to side (which is symbolizing sugar) the more obstacles the body has and the harder it is to play the game.

    Art Activity

    Complete this Art Activity
  • Create a piece of art with any medium (that means you can use crayon, paint, pencil, newspaper, cereal or whatever you like! It can be a three-dimensional piece or a painting on a sheet. You can use anything you find around the house. The point is to create a piece of art using the color Blue. Or you could do art with plain sugar as well :) . It can be simple or it can be much more complex! Be creative, think outside the box!
