Many people who have a stroke suffer from paralysis. This lesson will have you participate in an activity that illustrates that.
  • Activity: Go to your closet and get a pair of sweat pants and a shirt. Try to put these clothes on with just one hand. Now try to brush you teeth with the opposite hand that you normally use.....and now try to write your name and teachers name with your left hand (and if you are left handed, try it with your right hand)
  • Awareness: People that suffer a stroke often lose ability to use a part of their body and have to relearn how to walk and talk again. It is important to know what to do when you think someone has had a stroke so they can quickly get the medication to help avoid damage to their brain tissue.
